About Me

My Background, Education and Qualifications

I was born and raised in Italy, and I moved to the Netherlands to pursue my studies in psychology.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Amsterdam and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Leiden University. After graduation, I have completed both Basic and Advance Schema Therapy Training at the Dutch Institute of Schema Therapy.

Before diving into the field of psychology, I developed a background in International Affairs and Human Rights, an experience that continues to shape the way I understand people within their broader personal, social, and cultural contexts.

My Current Practice

Over the past years, I have been practising as a psychologist and diagnostician in the Netherlands in an international and multicultural environment.

As an expat myself, I have a particular appreciation for the complexity of living between cultures, adapting to new environments, and finding a sense of belonging away from home.

About Albe

In Italian, Albe means sunrises: the beginning of new days. No matter how dark, difficult, complicated, or long the night has been, the sun rises again. And with each new day comes the possibility to begin, and begin again.

To me, therapy holds a similar possibility. It is not about erasing what has happened or making difficult moments disappear, but about creating space to understand our experiences and find new ways of relating to ourselves and our lives.

Like a sunrise, therapy does not promise that every day will be easy. It can, however, create space for new perspectives, new possibilities, and new beginnings.
